Delivering the Project

While the FFCoVE is keen to see that the organisations which have agreed to manage a project do so effectively, we aren’t in a position to instruct organisations in how this should be done. We will keep an eye on progress and provide support where we can but our expectation is that organisations will use their own project management methodology.

If you don’t have a project methodology, and you aren’t contracting an experienced project manager, you might like to follow Backlog’s Project Management Guide – a basic but robust methodology sufficient for most small- and medium-sized projects.

As part of the project setup, we will agree how involved the FFCoVE will be during the delivery phase. One or more of the following options could apply:

  • If FFCoVE funding is provided, we will need to agree and sign a services contract which sets out what is to be delivered and when, the responsibilities each party has toward delivering the project, the invoicing schedule etc.
  • Having a FFCoVE member on the Steering Group
  • Having a FFCoVE member on the Working Group and/or Reference Group
  • Agreement on progress reporting (see below for templates which may help)

The following templates are provided for those organisations which don’t have their own versions.
