Throughout early 2025, Scarlatti piloted an Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent for oral assessment in vocational education and training. These pilots suggest that oral AI agents could offer a viable alternative to costly one-on-one tutor-run verbal assessments as well as to written assessments that don’t engage learners. This project also produced ideas on how AI could be used for assessment and delivery. This final article in our series explores seven types of AI agents for assessment and delivery.
