December 2022 Newsletter

As 2022 draws to a close, many projects are completed or nearing completion. Looking forward, in 2023 we will develop some of the outputs from completed projects and test new concepts as we respond to requests, feedback and ideas. One area we will continue to concentrate on, is attraction, and how we can adopt a more creative approach to meet demand for new talent.

Another key area of focus will be working to improve the understanding of rangatahi learners who have completed their compulsory education within the full immersion kura environment, whose first language is te reo Māori and who view the world through a te ao Māori lens. These rangatahi now number in the thousands across the Motu and the number continues to grow. We are keen to work with all stakeholders to ensure these young people succeed and employers benefit from their potential.
